Managing Change On a Radio Show

Managing Change On a Radio Show

by Tracy Johnson

Managing change is hard. Coaching talent on radio shows through change is tricky, especially if there’s a multiple personality show.

They all need individual attention, and each has ideas of what should be on the show. One of the most important tasks is to manage change, helping the show evolve while remaining consistent.

This is when the stakes get higher. Change can be scary. In my webinar,  Turn Daily Life into Daily Content, a morning show asked,

What would you advise a morning show where one personality sees the need to make changes and evolve, but the their partner is perfectly happy with the way things are…and the way they’ve been for quite some time?”

Based on feedback from the presentation, this is a rather common issue. Managers must be the steady hand that guides talent through evolution. As hard as that can be, it’s worse to take the easy way out and leave it alone!
