How to Use Audio Teases as a Taste of What’s Coming Up [audio]

The purpose of a radio tease is to cause the audience to listen to another break. There are many tactics that you can use to make this happen, but audio teases can be a most powerful, if under-used, tactic.

An audio tease is simply playing a provocative sample of what’s coming up, similar to those short TV promos TV for a late-night talk show. They promote the guest or a popular benchmark. In most cases, they use a highlight from the upcoming show. The sample builds anticipation by giving viewers a taste of what’s to come.
