How To Develop a Local Character [audio]

Characters can contribute content and personality that air personalities can’t, or shouldn’t. If they are a local character, even better.

And for solo shows, a recurring character gives your show more personality to work with, and another voice to respond to.

One way to do it is through a character who calls your show regularly. Usually, this is best when they are extreme. Make them a lightning rod that stirs up the audience.
